Martin moved his flooring business from South Australia to the Alice in 1996 and now heads a team of skilled flooring installers. Outback Floors supplies and installs both commercial and residential floor coverings including linoleum, floor and wall sheet vinyl planks and tiles, carpet tiles, timber flooring install/sand and seal, sports and multi-purpose flooring. We can also custom design floors, incorporating your choice of artwork and business logos.

We offer commercial and residential floor covering supply and installation in Alice Springs, Tennant Creek, Yulara, Katherine, and throughout remote Central Australia, NT and SA.

We supply and install only the best quality floor products and with 30 years experience, are the recommended floor installation contractors for a number of large flooring suppliers including: Armstrong, Gerflor, Karndean and Signature Floors.

With extensive knowledge of flooring in the NT and surrounds, our floor specialists can advise you on the flooring products that will best suit your particular needs and budget and for commercial projects, the products that will stand the test of time and are best suited to our central Australian conditions.

Martin comes from a family commercial flooring business founded in Adelaide in 1923. There he started his trade 30 + years ago doing large commercial, multi-storey building flooring installations. Other commercial jobs incl. Myers, David Jones, John Martins Dept Stores, Target Stores, SA police HQ and SA Parliament house. In 2000 he was awarded SA NT marmoleum installer champion of the year in Sydney.

More recent jobs in the Alice incl. the Greenwell Building, Greatorex building (new police HQ), Charles Darwin University, Araluen, Crazy Train Diner, Pine Creek Gold Mine, Katherine’s Tindal RAAF Air Base Parquetry refurb of the SGT / Officer’s Mess and refurb of parquetry gym floor with new line marking. Recently one of our Alice Springs custom designed herringbone floor installations was featured in Karndean’s internal newsletter with great reviews.

Karndean Design Flooring recently posted a review of one of our Herringbone flooring installations using a Karndean Looselay Longboard in Mountain Spotted Gum on their social media page.
