VINYL FLOORING in Alice Springs

Durable Vinyl Products

Our highly sought after professional installers specialise in the installation of vinyl flooring.  Vinyl flooring has several layers of materials compressed together to create a highly durable floor product that can also be water resistant.  Vinyl comes in either Luxury Vinyl Tiles (LVT)/Planks or Vinyl Roll. Vinyl Planks and Tiles reproduce the look and feel of natural wood and stone, in a format that is tough, durable and low maintenance.

Vinyl is an all-round, all-purpose floor product that offers endless possibilities in any space. From large impressive commercial installations with embedded designs to providing a statement piece with ambience, comfort and practicality in a residential space. Vinyl products come in a vast selection of current trending chip designs, marbled and directional patterns and colours that complement each other to allow the designer to mix and match.

The benefits of a quality Vinyl floor are endless; high durability, abrasion and gouge resistance, scratch, scuff and stain performance, appearance retention, pattern/colour wear performance, rolling load/impact resistance.

Luxury Vinyl Plank & Tile

We supply and install high quality luxury vinyl tiles that are designed and manufactured to almost perfectly reproduce the look of natural wood and stone. Ease of installation and its many benefits make this an appealing and affordable alternative to hardwood and ceramic flooring.

Extremely durable, designed for high traffic areas, scratch and stain resistant, LVT are a great addition to any commercial or residential space. Produced in both tile and plank format (rigid or flexible) across a wide range of designs and finishes, they offer endless layout possibilities due to their modular format.

Luxury vinyl tiles come in several installation options; we install both Glue Down (using adhesive) and Rigid Core. Glue down floors are permanently adhered to your subfloor, which means you can choose from a variety of laying patterns, create a pattern or use design strips or borders.

Rigid Core is a click locking floating floor with a thick central core. These products have acoustic properties and can be installed over most existing hard floors. They are also waterproof so won’t swell, buckle or lose integrity when exposed to moisture and can therefore be installed in bathrooms and laundries.

Herringbone Flooring

Herringbone is a classic pattern that will stand the test of time. The Romans laid street pavers in this pattern as the bricks could endure more pressure this way than when laid straight. The Egyptians also incorporated the design into jewellery and textiles.

Originating in 16th century France, most famously in the Palace of Versailles, herringbone in luxury vinyl adds an ageless and sophisticated aesthetic to any commercial or residential project.

One of our recent Herringbone flooring installations using a Karndean Looselay Longboard in Mountain Spotted Gum has recently received recognition and been mentioned on their social media platform.

Native Australian species feature throughout this collection with each 1.5m long format plank constructed with a HD photographic layer displaying intricate details of the original wood. The planks are longer than standard looselay and can therefore be installed quickly and easily in any space and over existing hard floors.

Hybrid/Rigid Core

Hybrid / Rigid Core Flooring combines a wear layer, image layer, resilient core and attached underlayment. Being more rigid than vinyl planks, hybrid / rigid core floors allow for floating floor installation that clicks and locks into place (no adhesive necessary). They can therefore be installed over most existing hard floors, facilitating quicker turnaround times and less downtime on-site. They have acoustic properties due to a foam backing which reduces noise transfer, so ideal for multi-story applications. These floors are less impacted by temperature changes, which makes them well suited to our Central Australian hot summers and cold winters.

A great option if you want to combine the look and feel of natural wood, with a waterproof, scratch resistant, stain and dent resistant floor product. A Hybrid / Rigid Core floor will withstand daily wear and tear, particularly in high traffic or high moisture areas. They can be steam mopped and won’t collect dirt and grime in between floorboards as with hardwood products. Top of the range is Armstrong’s Luxury Rigid Core range, offering maximum durability and acoustic properties with a luxurious finish. Luxury Rigid Core flooring is constructed with high density acoustic cushioning and rigid core polymer plus high-performance embossed wear layer and a high-resolution image layer to closely imitate natural wood texture.
